50 miles north of bakersfield. three people died and four others were wounded, including the suspect's two young girls. deputies caught up with him this morning by tracking his cell phone. investigators say 31-year-old hector valia took deputies on a chase and opened fire on them. he was shot and died several hours later. a motive is not released. >> a developing story out of mexico where officials say the wreckage of a small plane believed to be carrying jenni rivera has been found with no apparent survivors. the plane disamendment after talking off from the city of monterey after their band performed a concert there. there's no word what may have caused the plane to crash, rivera has been in the music industry for 20 years, sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and this month she signed a deal with abc to star in a new sitcom. >> the dallas cowboys played today one day after one player died in a car accident and

another is suspected of drunk driving. investigators believe josh brent was drunk when he drove over a curb and flipped his car. his teammate, jerry brown, was a passenger in the vehicle. brown died after being rushed to the hospital. brown's high school coach shared fond memories of the 25-year-old linebacker from his teenage years in st. louis. >> jerry was a good kid. great athlete. great athlete. but overall, a good person. always seemed like a good kid. >> ama: brown and brent played together in college at the university of illinois. brent's attorney says his bail at a half million dollars is excessive. egyptian opposition activists remain camped outside the presidential palace in cairo after president morsi agreed to drop the plans.

protesters are pushing for morsi to cancel the referendum, saying they reject the process entirely. morsi says the constitution is essential for the fledgling democracy but opposition leaders say there's a better way. >> that is democracy, but at the same time the president should be aware that the public anger and the spreading anger would affect him. >> rallies have drown tens of thousands of people into the street and melees that left at least six people dead. morsi ordered the military to maintain security and protect state institutions until after the results of the referendum. >> it was the first day same-sex couples could get legally married in washington. ahead, we'll have a look at some of the historic ceremonies and how seattle handled the wedding rush. >> is secretary of state hillary clinton ready for a new challenge? what democrats think about her
